Basses

Elrick Bass Guitars

Elrick Bass Guitars began as an all six string specialty manufacturer and has since become a full line, bass only company specializing in the construction of four, five, six, seven, and eight string bass guitars and piccolo basses. All Elrick Basses are manufactured by hand from the boards up. Every facet of construction is done in house, which makes accommodating custom orders as easy as selecting an instrument from the standard line.

Hofner Bass Guitars

In 1955, Walter Hofner, a creative businessman as well as a violin and guitar maker, invented an electrically amplified semi-acoustic bass. The distinctive 500/1 bass was launched at the 1956 Frankfurt Music Fair and subsequently rose to fame.

These painstakingly crafted basses have established Modulus as an innovator and leader in the premium instrument marketplace. For nearly 20 years, the original carbon fiber neck concept has evolved and matured. These innovations yield a series of instruments with the ultimate expression of forward-looking bass design.

Pedulla

Many companies have much of their product(s) manufactured overseas or in Mexico by factory workers and/or manufacturing machines. Then they import them, do minor finish work or assembly here and (legally?) call their products “Made in the U.S.A.” Pedulla, on the other hand, can proudly say that they make their basses COMPLETELY in the U.S.A. They buy rough boards of lumber and every step of the bass-making process is done, by Michael Pedulla in their small shop in Massachusetts -- Pedulla bass guitars REALLY are completely Made in the U.S.A.! Pedulla has celebrated over 38 years of making instruments and know that their continued success depends not just on continually providing great products, but on the support of you, our customers. Please know Pedulla SINCERELY appreciates your business and support. -- Thank you!

Rickenbacker

"Handmade in America" - three words that proudly embody Rickenbacker's unchanging commitment to quality and excellence. A commitment that is as strong today as it was in the Company's beginnings, over sixty five years ago. While utilizing some of the most modern tools and equipment available, Rickenbacker has been selective in employing technology to be sure that improved quality is the only reason for not performing the operation in a traditional fashion. In fact, to the greatest extent, the most skillful and demanding work is still done entirely by hand.

Ritter Bass Guitars

Jens Ritter appears to mold wood into a form that Guitar and Bass magazine describes as “just art.” Unique body shapes and handmade components make the Ritter basses a true art sculpture that just sounds great. Models range from 4 to 7 string versions and the current build-time for special orders is 8-10 months.

Roscoe Guitars

Roscoe builds 4, 5, 6 and 7 string electric bass guitars entirely by hand and entirely in their own facility. Unlike many builders of fine handmade instruments, none of their manufacturing is sent out. Even their fine high-gloss and hand rubbed oil finishes are applied by Roscoe.

Sadowsky Guitars

Sadowsky Metro basses are made by the Sadowsky Tokyo crew and are exactly like the NYC instruments; they feature the same pickups, preamp, hardware and design. The Sadowsky Metro line has basses in Standard or Vintage style. The quality of these instruments and the set-ups are as great as anything coming out of the NYC shop.
