Stuart Spector Bass Clinic at Bass Emporium - Wednesday, July 25th, 2007 @ 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Stuart Spector, owner of Spector Bass Guitars, joined us at Bass Emporium on July 25th, 2007 at 6:00pm for a "meet-n-greet". Stuart Spector has been a huge force within the bass-building community for 26 years. The quality and craftsmanship of his basses are legendary and the product range of his instruments begins at $549.00 for the Performer 4 Classic model up to $5499.00 for the U.S.A. Handmade NS-6XL model. You can also get custom finishes and woods if you have a "sky-is-the-limit" budget. Regardless of price of each respective Spector instrument, the bass you get will be an outstanding value. We had a great time talking with Stuart, eating some snacks and generally talking bass guitars. A number of players brought their basses to be signed and to have Stuart look at their basses. We gave away some T-Shirts, Caps, Spector Workshop CDs and a Grand Prize of a Spector Bass Guitar! Our Spector Bass Guitar winner for the night was Andreas Guenin from Austin. Congrats Andreas!! Chuck Rainey Bass Clinic at Bass Emporium - Thursday, May 17th, 2007 @ 7:00pm
Chuck Rainey was in our Austin, Texas store on May 17th, 2007 for in "in-store" bass clinic. We had a full house for the 2-hour clinic in which Chuck played, sang and talked about the business with a follow-up Q&A session. We then spent time eating some pizza and enjoying the comradarie of a few dozen "low-enders". Thanks Chuck! At one time tagged as the hardest working bass player in America, Chuck Rainey's bass playing on successful television shows, motion pictures and recordings illustrate his well-known and legendary style, feel and concept for the instrument and it's role in organized music. His unique bass lines accent numerous commercials and are an integral part of today's music across many music viewing and listening fronts.
